This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting sustainable entrepreneurial intention among students of Razi University using an extended theory of planned behavior. This research was applied in terms of purpose, quantitative in approach, and descriptive–survey of correlational type in terms of data collection. The statistical population included all undergraduate students of Razi University in the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year (N = 8000). The sample size was estimated using Cochran's formula, and finally 414 individuals were selected using random cluster sampling. The data collection instrument was a standard, extended, and modified questionnaire whose validity and reliability were examined and confirmed. Data were analyzed in two parts: descriptive statistics (including mean, etc.) and inferential statistics (structural equation modeling) using SPSS20 and Smart PLS4 software. The results showed that perceived behavioral control (β = 0.402), self-efficacy (β = 0.354), and attitude toward sustainable entrepreneurship (β = 0.277) were the most important predictors of sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Finally, the research model explained 39.8% of the variance in sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Based on the results, improving sustainable entrepreneurial behavior in universities requires actions such as strengthening perceived behavioral control by increasing access to entrepreneurial resources and opportunities, enhancing self-efficacy through skill-based and experiential training, and improving attitudes by explaining the advantages and benefits of sustainable entrepreneurship. Appropriate policymaking, including resource allocation and holding educational workshops aimed at improving sustainable entrepreneurial behavior in universities, is recommended.
