Investigating the effect of entrepreneurship education on social entrepreneurship intention with the mediating role of entrepreneurial social network (Case study: Students of Payam Noor University of Golestan Province)

Abstract

One of the important goals of universities is to prepare students to play an effective role in working life. Therefore, education researchers believe that educating students in the field of entrepreneurship can help solve the problem of graduate unemployment.
Despite the importance of social entrepreneurship today, research findings show that a small percentage of students engage in social entrepreneurial activities, so it is essential to identify factors affecting social entrepreneurship intention. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of entrepreneurship education on social entrepreneurship intention with the mediating role of the social network of entrepreneurship. This study is applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of its nature and method, and is of a correlational type. The statistical population of the study included 5000 students of Payam Noor University of Golestan Province, the sample size was determined as 357 people according to the Krejci and Morgan table, and the simple random method was used for sampling. Data analysis was performed using the structural equation method with Smart pls3 software. The results of the research on students of Payam Noor University in Golestan Province showed that entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on students' entrepreneurial social network. Entrepreneurship social network has a significant effect on students' social entrepreneurship intention. Entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on students' social entrepreneurship intention. Entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on students' social entrepreneurship intention with the mediating role of students' entrepreneurial social network.
