Abstract
One of the effective factors in rural development is tourism development; Because it can play an effective role in improving the economic situation of villages by creating new employment and income opportunities. Therefore, this study aims to identify the dimensions and components of tourism entrepreneurship for sustainable rural development. This is an applied research with a qualitative approach and analytical descriptive method. Library and field method has been used to collect information. The study population includes tourism experts of The Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Gorgan and academic experts. The results show 3 dimensions, economic with 6 components, increasing the amount of investment, increasing income, creating demand for new goods, creating handicrafts and local food markets, creating a local market suitable for agricultural products and investment risk, socio-cultural dimension with 8 components, increasing public awareness, increasing the level of social welfare, increasing participation for women and youth, increasing the motivation for progress, increasing social and human relations, improving individual skills, increasing the interest in education and forming a culture of employment and strengthening the culture of self-employment, and the environmental and infrastructure dimension with 6 components, increasing the level of attention to the environment, increasing interest in preserving historical and ancient monuments, efforts to preserve local customs, traditions, art and music, attention of local and regional politicians and managers, creating technical, technological and IT infrastructure, creating residential infrastructure. Therefore, tourism managers should consider the identified components in rural tourism policies and provide the necessary infrastructure.
