Acceptance criteria and guidelines for preparing an article

The "Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Agricultural Development Studies" journal is a Persian-English scientific publication affiliated with the University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources of Gorgan and the Iranian Agricultural Promotion and Education Society. The aim of the publication is to disseminate research results, increase awareness, promote scientific development, and disseminate specialized knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, sustainable business, and development in agriculture and related areas such as natural resource and tourism businesses, cooperatives, rural entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and general entrepreneurship topics.

Features and Writing Method of Articles:

  4. Theoretical foundations and research background (including defining concepts and details related to the conceptual framework/theoretical background of the research and previous studies related to the research topic)
  5. Research Methodology
  6. Findings
  7. Discussion, Conclusion, and Recommendations (optional recommendations and thanks)
  8. Acknowledgments and appreciation (preferably, appreciation should be given to the institutions or individuals who have had effective participation in financing or data collection)
  9. Bibliography and references

The abstract should also be provided in both Persian and English with a maximum of 200-250 words, with the Persian summary at the beginning of the article and the English summary at the end of the article, after the bibliography. Between 3 and 5 keywords should be mentioned at the end of the Persian and English abstracts.

  1. Respected authors should submit their articles in Word format in the original article file (without mentioning the authors' information) and also a file containing authors' information through the journal's website at http://jead.gau.ac.ir/. When entering the author or authors' information in the journal's profile, care should be taken to include all necessary details in both Persian and English sections.
  2. Articles derived from student dissertations (Ph.D., Master's, Bachelor's) under the supervision, guidance, and collaboration of professors, advisors, and students shall be published with the responsibility of the supervisors.
  3. The Persian text of the articles should be prepared with the Lotus Thin font (12), and the English text should be with the Times New Roman (11) font. The font of the figures and tables should be Lotus (10). The articles should be typed on an A4 paper (with a margin of 3 on all four sides). The space between the lines should be single. The articles should be arranged in two columns.
  4. The size of the article should not exceed about 6000 words and should be less than 4500 words (considering the space of tables, figures, abstracts, results, and references).
  5. The author information file should be on one page and should include the names and surnames, educational group, faculty, university or institution of the authors' employment, city, and country in both Persian and English. The corresponding author should be identified with their email address and marked with an asterisk. The correspondence address, along with the telephone number, should also be included at the end of the file.

Article Structure:

The structure of an article includes the following elements:

  1. Abstract: It contains a Persian and an English abstract along with key terms (4 to 6 words). The abstract should be between 200 to 250 words and include summaries of the background, method(s), findings, and conclusions. The English and Persian abstracts should match each other completely. The English abstract should contain the main points and results of the article, so it can be published separately. The English abstract should be placed at the end of the article after the list of references.
  2. Introduction: It includes background information, the necessity of the research, unanswered questions, and the research objectives related to the topic of the article. The maximum length for the introduction is 800 words.
  3. Theoretical foundations and research background: It includes scientific definitions, the latest theories and scientific issues related to the subject of the article, prominent views and empirical research background, and a summary of the research background and if necessary, presenting the conceptual framework of the research.
  4. Research Method: It details the research method, the method of collecting data, data collection tools, statistical population and sample, the reliability and validity of the research tool, and the method of data analysis. If necessary, the study area can also be introduced at the end of the research method in a separate title.
  5. Main Discussion or Findings: It presents the important findings in accordance with the scientific standards of journal formats, in the form of discussion, figures, and tables.
  6. Conclusion, recommendation, and suggestion: It includes the effects and importance of the research findings and the findings of other related research, emphasizing their differences and causes, explaining the generalizability and scientific applications of the findings and providing the necessary guidelines for continuing research related to the topic, concluding, recommendations, and possible suggestions.
  7. Methods of presenting resources and sources: Resources and sources should be mentioned both in-text and at the end of the article. In-text citations should be in the APA style, with the author's name(s) and year of publication mentioned first. It should be noted that references to printed works should be in the original language (Persian or English). For example: (Rezaei, 2001) or (Timmer, 1988). When the names in the in-text references are in English and appear at the beginning of a sentence, they should be written in English. For example, Timmer (1998) or Timmer et al. (1998).

End-of-article citations: The resources used in the article should be listed in alphabetical order by the author's surname, as follows (first in Persian and then in English sources):

  1. Tables and figures should be included in the text with separate serial numbers, and refrain from placing them at the end of the article. (Figures and charts should be original and of good quality. Font sizes, especially for curves (legend), should be selected so that they remain legible when the scale of the graph is reduced for printing. All lines in tables should be clearly defined.   1. itles of tables should be above, and titles of figures should be below with separate serial numbers specified (bold, center-aligned Font 10. For example, Table 1- or Figure 1-). Do not use titles such as diagram, image, map, and photo, etc., and all of them should be labeled as figures.

Important notes:

  1. To reference sources within the text, only the author's last name and the year of publication of the Persian source should be mentioned. If the number of authors is more than two, only the last name of the first author and "colleagues" should be mentioned.
  2. Dear authors, please be careful to include all sources cited in the text at the end of the text. Also, there should be no sources in the end-of-text sources that are not referenced in the text.
  3. When entering author information into the journal's website, please be sure to include the names in both the Persian and English sections with full details (including the names and surnames of the authors, academic group, faculty, university or institution of employment of the authors, city, country in Persian and English).
  4. Dear authors, please note that when uploading articles to the journal's website, the section related to author information should be entered in detail and accuracy on the journal's website (please note that in the English section, the initial letters of proper names should be capitalized). 13. Dear authors, please note that the Persian and English abstracts copied into the journal's website should exactly match the content and word count of the abstract in the submitted file.
